Privacy promise
Plain-language privacy.
No legalese.
Body measurements are personal. We built Right Fit knowing that — so privacy isn't a setting you have to configure, it's how the app works by default.

What we collect
To make Right Fit work, we store:
- Your email address and display name (for your account)
- The names and relationships of people you add
- Measurements you enter — height, chest, waist, hips, inseam, foot length, weight
- Dates of birth (optional — used for growth predictions)
- Gift events and reminders you create
- Your app preferences (default region, preferred brands)
That's it. We don't track your location, browsing habits, or anything else.
What we never do
- Sell your data to anyone, ever
- Use your data for advertising
- Share measurements with third parties
- Use your family's data to train AI models
- Make children's profiles visible without your explicit action
What gets shared — and only when you choose
Nothing is shared publicly by default. You stay private until you take one of these actions:
- Generate a share link for an individual — shows clothing sizes only (US/EU/UK/JP/AU), never raw measurements or weight
- Generate a family share link — shows first names and sizes only
- Post a listing on Outpost — shows your display name and item details
Every share link can be revoked instantly from your dashboard. When revoked, the page becomes inaccessible immediately — no cached version, no grace period.
AI features
Right Fit uses AI for two features: growth predictions and gift suggestions. Here's exactly what gets sent when you use them:
- Growth predictions — sends age, gender, measurement history, and your chosen prediction horizon to Claude (Anthropic). No name, no email, no identifying information.
- Gift suggestions — sends first name, age, relationship type, event type, and current sizes to Gemini (Google). No measurements, no email.
Neither Anthropic nor Google uses these requests to train their models under their current API data policies. We don't store AI responses beyond your current session.
Children's data
Many Right Fit users track sizes for their kids. We take this seriously:
- Child profiles are never visible to anyone unless you explicitly generate and share a link
- Dates of birth are used only for growth predictions — not displayed publicly anywhere
- Shared size cards for children show clothing sizes only, not age or birth date
- You can delete a child's profile and all their data at any time
Your rights
You're in full control of your data:
- Export everything — download all your people, measurements, and events as a JSON file from Settings
- Delete anything — remove individual measurements, people, or events at any time
- Delete your account — wipes all your data and your account permanently from Settings → Danger zone
- Revoke share links — any public link can be deactivated instantly
Data storage
Your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud), with data at rest in the United States. Connections are encrypted with TLS. We use Firebase Authentication for account security — we never store passwords in plain text.
